2007 was a wonderful year for The Monolators but we look forward to all our new adventures to come in 2008. Look out for a new re-mix single of "We Fell Dead", another EP and something very special at the end of 2008.

We released an EP, "You Look Good On the Train," back in September. We finally have the vinyl version forsale online here. If you love vinyl, you'll love the record. It's a full 10 inches at 45 RPM. It's a beautiful sound.

So we have all kinds of great things going on. First we have a MINI-TOUR scheduled for the south: Nashville, Atlanta and maybe Knoxville. This is the start of our push to promote our new EP called "You Look Good On the Train". It will be available as a digital download and vinyl only. Coming steaming into station near you in September.

We recently realized that we hadn't posted a link to our music videos on Youtube. If you weren't able to make it to the video premiere, you can see the most recent video for "Strawberry Roan." "We Fell Dead" is also especially good.

Hello all! It's time for another one of our Video Premieres, May 23 at The Echo. This time we will be premiering our video for "Strawberry Roan". It features a dance sequence between pirates and Ninjas. Who could ask for more! We have an awesome line-up playing and showing videos: 8-bit, Castledoor and Summer Darling. They are all awesome bands and it should be fun to see what they all put together for videos. If you've been to any of our previous video premieres, you know they are super fun and a great opportunity to see cool videos and bands. Hope you can all come out!

We are back from tour and had a total blast. We weren't quite as good at taking pics this time as last but Matt from the Northwest Music Blog was gracious enough to take these at our Seattle show. Thanks Matt!

Haven't written for a while. Bad. Bad. But we have been busy. We just finished shooting our most recent music video for "Strawberry Roan". It was an awesome time with dancing pirates/ninjas, back flipping lumber jacks and crowd surfing nuns. But we have another video to premiere first! On October 20, we are premiering the music video for "We Fell Dead". We play fascist dictators in the video. The hair and make-up are quite something and Eli makes a scarily good dictator. Hope you can all make it to the show. It's at the Airliner with 8-bit, The Mormons and E>K>U>K. All the bands are showing videos and playing a set of music. Show starts at 10PM.

We are back from our summer tour. It was sooooo amazing. We met so many good people and good bands. You can read more in Eli's blog. Plus Eli has started a new thing where he interviews obscure bands and people that he enjoys. Read Here.

Friday is the big day we've been waiting for: it's our CD Release for our new album "Our Tears Have Wings." It's going to be an extra special show with, count 'em, 6 extra Monolators playing on stage. We will be receiving the continued support of the awesome Andy Bollas, of 8-bit, on bass. Tom Bogdon, of Shirley Rolls and who played guitar on the record, will play lead guitar. Raymond Richards, of Idaho Falls and our record producer, will play some swinging key for us. Finally, we will be joined on stage by Alee Gratz-Collier, Tasha Carter and April (sorry, missing last name but wonderful, wonderful April) doing some sweet back-ups. On top of all this, we have a new song! AND the show is FREE. AND we have a great line-up: 8-bit, Emm't Swank and Avelar.

We’ve been really busy the past few months, with many, many things brewing. Most importantly, we’ve finished our new album! It’s called "Our Tears Have Wings" and it was produced and recorded by the fabulous Raymond Richards at Red Rockets Glare studios. It’s just been mastered by John Golden and is headed off to the pressing plant for final production. We’re planning on releasing it, if all goes well, the first week of June. There will be a big record release show so check back for the date!

Also premiering in June, probably at our record release show, will be our new video for "We Fell Dead," also off the new album. In this one, we play fascist dictators who make everyone vote for The Monolators! See more in Eli’s blog.

Also—in May, one of Eli’s text and illustration pieces will appear in the wonderful new literature magazine Penny Ante-Lit. It has something to do with a chicken…we understand that it’ll be available through your standard Barnes and Noble-y type bookstores all over the place, so be sure to pick up a copy.

And, apart from our local shows here in Los Angeles, we’re planning a tour this summer in support of our new record. We’re planning to hit the west coast and Arizona this July, so we’d love to see you at one of the shows!
